At work:
I've been pretty damn unhappy. I've been called frosty (lovely follow up to "scary" in the post below). I've cried because of being called frosty at the end of a very long day. I've been asked if I wouldn't mind "coming in a bit early because we're busy" by a person who hasn't familiarised themself with the fact that at least twice a week I get into the office at 7am and most nights I don't leave until 6pm. I've been asked in front of my entire department if I'd move my week off. I declined. I've had a meeting with the managing director and told him most of the above - apparently they're working on improving things. I'm waiting to see. I like my job, I just don't like how things are there at the moment.
I've been described as:
Frosty
A minx
A jinx
Having Moxie - best compliment I've had in ages
Witty
Pretty
Sexy
Having a peachy arse
A geezerbird - translation for Americans, this is a girl who's into guy stuff, sport, beer etc
A dream
A nutter - in a good way
A right metaler - for listening to Pantera
Weird,
Quirky
A funny girl
Needless to say, I'm having a small amout of trouble working out my public perception just at the moment.
I've eaten/drunk (amongst other things):
The most incredible Club Sandwich ever - It was perfect. A thing of beauty.
Cocoa bean brulee - looked beautiful, wasn't so yummy.
Blueberry pancakes with warm maple syrup - not an english breakfast staple, so a real treat.
A Marks and Spencer Steak Fajita Wrap - they've changed the ingredients, I don't like them anymore.
Diet Coke with Vitamins - whatever next.
Lemon Curd Yogurt - almost nothing containing lemon curd can be bad.
I've bought:
More makeup and beauty products than I could possibly justify. In fact so many things I can't even remember them all.
A few new tops for work.
A belt for a colleague because she loves them and her week will have been terrible last week.
2 Foo Fighters CD's and Pantera's Greatest Hits, along with a whole selection of songs from Itunes. The majority being from Harry Connick Jrs new cd - I love Harry. Love him.
Several train tickets taking me here and there.
I've watched:
On The Town - I love this musical.
The first 20 minutes of Withnail and I, before my dvd player started misbehaving.
Stupid amounts of the Simpsons and Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends.
Several episodes of Barefoot Contessa and Bourdain: A Cooks Tour - these are my two favourite TV foodies.
I've been excited about:
Christmas! The Boots Christmas Gift Guide is out, the major department store in town have their christmas decorations up for sale, The Body Shop are stocking their Christmas fragrances (hence my bedroom smells of Gingerbread!), its only a few weeks away!
WWE No Mercy on Sunday.
Trying a couple of Ina Garten recipes from Barefoot Contessa, I'll be in the kitchen this weekend.
I've been sad about:
My hamster having a stroke (yep, they can have them!) and dying last weekend. He was 2 1/2, which is good age for a hamster, but it was still sad.
WWE Superstar John Cena tearing his pectoral muscle and being out for 6-8 months.
Lazy Blogger Me pulling muscles in my thighs and neck - fortunately both are healing now.
My week off coming to an end.
I've been working on:
Sleeping better - for whatever reason I'm not sleeping well lately. Stress I suppose.
My personal style - I should be more polished. I keep saying it, I keep getting nowhere. Monday will be a fresh start.
Being a better blogger - namely actually updating every once in a while and also maybe changing the layout, style, profile page and perhaps even my picture! I hope to work on it this weekend, so stay tuned!
