You know the ones.
The ones where you get up early, leave for work on time feeling like a million dollars. Yor hair looks good, you picked a great outfit, your makeup is amazing.
You feel shit hot.
Then, on the walk to work, this happens:
The pavement was slippery and although I'd been able to walk on the grass most of the way, I reached a point on my journey where there was no more grass. I thought I'd be ok on the pavement, but I wasn't and my legs went from underneath me, my right knee twisted underneath my body and this rather fetching duo of cuts, along with some swelling is the result.
That was at about 8:55am. Its now 11:20am and it still hasn't really stopped bleeding.
I'm pretty sure it gave the line of traffic that saw the whole incident a bit of a laugh. I, on the other hand, had a few minutes of shock/adrenaline, then got to work and wanted to cry and am now at the point where I'm swearing every other word because it stings/throbs so much.
I'm betting the brusing will be pretty when it comes out.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I am in pain just looking at that...hope you're ok, sorry you've got such a bad start to the day babe.

Ouch! That looks toe-curlingly painfull. Hope you've got your feet up now resting!

Ruby - Thanks honey, its still pretty sore. Its ok if I don't bend my knee, but if I try to bend it, it bleeds again and hurts like a really hurty thing. Hopefully tomorrow it'll ease up a bit.
Ing - Yep, thats pretty much all I've done today. I'm sure my name is mud at work because I came home to clean up and was meant to go back in. By the time I got out of the bath it had swollen up and because the adrenaline had worn off it was really painful so I didn't go back in. I didn't want to push it though. If its a sprain, even a mild one, walking on it won't do it any good.

You know that episode of Family Guy, when Peter falls on the sidewalk and holds his knee for like a minute, clenches his teeth and sucks in the air in pain? I totally thought of that when you fell!
OUCH!
My God, I hope you're okay! if it's still bleeding, you should really get that checked out. If you applied pressure in the beginning, it should've stopped.
That being said and you're like 8 hours ahead of me...how's it doing now?

Ouch!
That suuuuucks.

David - I remember that episode of Family Guy, that was hilarious! I'm doing okay now, its still sore and its sort of oozing a bit (nice huh?) but I think thats just because its a cut over a joint and every time I bend it aggravates it a bit. I should be fine by tomorrow.
Peter - Yes. Yes it does. Guys dig scars though right?

...Fuck, Fuck, Fuck ....

Leah Vanessa - Thank you! I'm just about 24 hours into it now and its still oozing and sore. I'm not going into work today and I plan on resting it to see if I can get the cut to heal up.
Clarissa - You took the words right out of my mouth! Virtually every movement I make is accompanied with some sort of swearing at the moment.

Mia - Yep, it still is. I can't believe that falling over could possibly result in something this nasty! x
