I'm the type of person who is always looking to relate one thing to another. Its one of my many little idiosyncracies. I look for patterns and relationships between things. Might be a neurotic thing, I'm not sure.
I had a particularly bad day on Wednesday for a number of reasons and on my walk home from the office I found myself feeling more and more like the lyrics to whatever I was listening to related to my exact situation. Obviously if that was really the case I'd be able to remember which song it was, but just 3 days later its totally gone from my brain.
Last night, I found myself wondering whether other people do it it too. For example the people in Blockbuster, do they look for patterns or links in the movies people rent?
With a slight wave of embarassment, I considered the possibility that the man serving me could tell from my returns and rentals what my current guilty pleasure is:
Last weeks' rentals:
- No Country for Old Men
- Two Days in Paris
- The All Together
- The Business
This weeks' rentals:
- Human Traffic
- Good Luck Chuck
- Severance
- The Football Factory
- Outlaw
Can you figure it out?

No I can't but I cab figure out that you rent a hell of a lot of movies.

Daniel - I do indeed. I've watched 4 of the 5 I rented on Saturday already. Two of them twice, once with the commentary and once without. I tend to have the tv on while I'm online or doing other things so I'm always multi-tasking.

I'm w/ Daniel ... no pattern that I can see ... but that shouldn't be surprising b/c I haven't seen a lot of those movies.
Hope you are bucking up because I think you are cool.

Ellie - Ah, that'd help. If you'd seen them I think the pattern would leap out at you. I'll fess up in my next post, I'm just curious to see if I'm being paranoid or if my being a fangirl is really obvious.
I'm bucking up a bit, thanks chick. As you've probably gathered life for me is always a bit of a rollercoaster because I can be an emotional sort. One of the things that had upset me was a close family friend being taken into hospital with pneumonia which was a secondary complication of swine flu. He's in his early 70s and diabetic too, so it was a bit scary. He's home now though so I think he's through the worst of it thank goodness!
